Marcelle Chagas do Monte

Prior to her fellowship, Marcelle worked as a leader in communication with strong expertise in combating misinformation, improving journalism and promoting digital inclusion. She serves as Coordinator at the Observatory of Gender, Race, and Territoriality in Science and as General Coordinator of the Network of Black Journalists for Diversity in Communication, and is alumna of the Clinton Foundation.

Marcelle is collaborating with Peregum to map the flow of misinformation, information consumption habits, and the epistemic authorities that validate information for the local population, using a specific methodology involving the participation of local partners.
