Eduard Martín-Borregón

Edu works coordinating multidisciplinary teams that combine technological development, data analysis, research and journalistic narratives. He is currently Executive Director of Abrimos.info, and has been honored with the Sigma Award 2020, the most prestigious award for data journalism. He has been twice nominated for the García Márquez Innovation Award: in 2016 for creating Méxicoleaks, and in 2020 for TodosLosContratos.mx.

As a fellow, Edu is collaborating with Documenta to develop a comprehensive technology strategy that strengthens their digital infrastructure, enhances information security, and ensures long-term access to critical human rights data. His independent project focuses on building data resilience for Latin American democracies, safeguarding public information from suppression and reinforcing transparency in justice systems.
