Angela Chukunzira

Angela has been involved with social movements and their communicative practices in Nairobi. She has also examined in the intersection of labour within the digital economy specifically with location-based platform workers and the ‘invisible’ tech workers. She has previously researched on youth perceptions of digitisation, unemployment and what the future of work(ers) looks like.

Angela is collaborating with Siasa Place to define a research project, which may investigate dynamics that lie in the nexus of the digital economy and workers, as well as the role local workers play in the global economy and challenging a future of work(ers) that is techo-centric rather than a worker-centred process.
