Sarra has been working with humanitarian organizations in data governance, statistics, data analysis and mixed-methods research.

She has also collaborated with advocacy-focused organizations on data & AI ethics and inclusion.

Her thematic research focus areas intersecting with her data-driven work are on humanitarian action, peace and security, particularly in conflict-affected countries in Africa and the MENA region.
