Virginia is a professor and researcher in data, gender, international context in technological governance and public policies. She is director of CODATECS (Data,Technologies and Society Program of UNR), co-coord of the Feminist Tech Latam Chair, and also promotes Open Science and Scientific Diplomacy from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR). She has been involved for more than a decade in open movements projects from government labs, academia, international organizations, and data activism. As a consultant she has participated in projects such as the Global Data Barometer, open data policy monitoring platforms and global technology innovation initiatives.

Virginia is collaborating with GIRE to develop a project based on the three core priorities: abortion, balancing work with reproductive life/care, and reproductive health. She may also help to strengthen how they serve the community, and develop best practices for handling sensitive data.
